Q2. How does your media product represent particular social groups?

My media piece Represents most of the different class types, sexualities, regional identities, ages, ethnicities, and genders in an equal light. The different groups are all represented initially as part of the victims of the crimes but soon turn out to be antagonists. No matter the social class, the sexuality, age, ethnicity, or gender the ‘victims’ are all portrayed as the ‘villains’ in the end which is very unusual for a thriller as there are usually social groups that are presented in a positive way. Also unlike most thrillers the protagonist is a teenage male who is shown in a positive manner. Most films in general show teenagers for the most part as lazy and unmotivated.

My piece shows to never judge a book by its cover as you never know what happens behind closed door. People make an instant judgement of people solely based on the look of them and the way they speak and my thriller is taking that judgement and turning it on its head.
